All graduating Seniors will have a class photo taken during STAR today. You will be called out.

Special Olympic Helpers may turn their posters in to Mrs. Clymer in Room 410. Also, Permission Slips need to be turned in by Monday, April 30, 2012.

SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP: Martin County Farm Bureau, Incorporated Scholarship. Applications are available from the school counselor. An applicant must be from a family who has been a member of Indiana Farm Bureau for a period of two years prior to application. Completed applications must be received by Martin County Farm Bureau by Friday, May 11, 2012. See Mr. Sherfick ASAP for an application.

The Jr. High Academic Team went to their contest on Saturday at Seymour Middle School. The students did an EXCELLENT job!!   They finished 2nd in Social Studies, tied for 4th in Math, 1st place in English, tied for 3rd in Science, tied for 5th in Interdisciplinary, and were 3rd team overall in total points. Shoals competed against Lanesville, News Washington, Springs Valley, Crothersville, West Washington and JacCenDel. Members of the team are Allison Albright, Ashley Phillips, Julie Dorsey, Reva Troutman, Megan Hawkins, Britney Cooper, Dawn Wright, Jonathan Sullivan, Corbyn Sipes, Landon Clark and Logan Harker. The students celebrated at Mr. Gattii's after the competition

Any student interested in taking Driver's Ed this summer at Shoals High School should stop by the main office and pick up a gray brochure. All Star Driving School will meet with any interested student on May 9, 2012 in the high school library at 11:30 AM. Classes begin on June 4, and end on June 15. The classes will be held Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM in room 408. The cost is $315.00. To be eligible you must be fifteen (15) years old on or by June 4. No exceptions.

Athletic physicals will be on May 3rd from 6:00-8:30. The physicals will take place at Loogootee High School and the cost is $16.00.

There are 2012 Martin County 4-H enrollment forms in the office. If you are interested in joining 4-H please pick up one and return it back to the office. Deadline is May 1st.

2012 Miss Martin County Queen Application forms are available in the office. To be a contestant you must be at least 16 years of age. These forms must be returned to the Martin County Extension Office by June 11th.
